Simone was guided towards Pilates by her Osteopath over 10 years ago, and quickly fell in love with it. It has been part of her weekly routine ever since. Having both functional and postural issues with her body after playing high level netball combined with chronic asthma and health issues when she was young, she couldn't believe the difference regular Pilates had on changing her body – and how healing it was. This led her to go on to complete her Diploma with Polestar Pilates, where she developed a love for clinical studio work. Simone is also a certified 200-hour trained Yin Yoga Teacher, training in Bali with Jo Phee and Joe Barnett – Senior Assistants to Yin Yoga founder Paul Grilley.
Simone is passionate about health & wellness, and has been her whole life. She loves to continually learn and grow – and this has taken her down many roads exploring, studying and/or working in many different areas including nutrition, exercise science, community health programs, personal development/counselling/emotional healing, yoga and pilates. She truly believes in the balance of mind, body & spirit for optimal health and well-being.
Pilates and Yin are her happy places, and she loves the people she gets to meet and work with. She hopes to deliver mindfulness and body/movement awareness in her classes, along with a little fun!
